VitalHub’s (VHI) UK subsidiary, Intouch with Health, announced a multi-year licensing agreement with NHS Highlands to access the company’s Synopsis Platform.

The award-winning Synopsis Home and Synopsis iQ is a digital, at-home pre-op solution. It allows hospitals to digitally manage the entire pre-operative assessment – from the initial questionnaire to postoperative outcomes. The platform removes paper trails, increases data security, and delivers significant organizational and economic benefits.

NHS Highlands is a new VitalHub customer. It is one of the fourteen regions of NHS Scotland and is the largest Health Board, covering an area of 32,500 km2. It serves a population of 320,000 people, providing prehospital care, primary and secondary care services.

Implementing Synopsis solutions requires fewer patients to attend the hospital for a pre-operative assessment. It improves patient throughput while freeing up staff resources and clinical time. Staff can spend more clinical time with high-risk patients, improving resource utilization and the efficiency of care delivery.

Providing the opportunity to better educate patients on pre-and post-surgery care, Synopsis contributes to a reduction in post-surgery re-admissions. It promotes improved patient convenience and accessibility to care. Synopsis solutions will help NHS Highlands improve their elective care backlog, enabling departments to handle booking and manage additional surgeries.

Dan Matlow, CEO of VitalHub Corp, commented on the news.

“We are delighted to further increase our presence across Scotland as we partner with NHS Highlands. The company appreciates the ongoing market ratification and demonstration of our leadership across patient flow and operational visibility solutions. We look forward to  supporting our customers as we scale across the UK and beyond, helping health systems accommodate their growing demands and needs.”

Vitalhub develops technology solutions for health and human service providers designed to simplify the user experience and optimize outcomes. Its technologies include blockchain, mobile, patient flow, web-based assessment, and electronic health record solutions.

Vitalhub Corp. (VHI) is up 1.92 per cent, trading at C$2.66 per share at 1:26 pm ET.
