Urbana Corporation (URB) has completed the liquidation of its remaining equity ownership in the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company liquidated 1,016,070 shares at approximately C$10 per share.

The company’s investment had to be held in intermediary entities based in Mauritius.

The entities will be wound up and funds repatriated to Canada for redeployment in other areas.

Urbana Corporation is an investment corporation with current interests across the financial services sector including exchanges, banks, broker dealers and investment management firms.

The fund is managed by Caldwell Investment Management with the objectives of providing income and long-term capital appreciation.

Urbana filed its annual financial statements and management’s discussion and analysis for the year ended December 31, 2020 on March 12, 2021.

Urbana Corporation is unchanged on the day, with shares trading at $2.73 at 2:43 pm ET.
