Red Pine Exploration (RPX) has drilled its thickest high-grade gold intercept to date on the Surluga North vein network at its Wawa Gold Project in Ontario.

Specifically, hole SD-22-396 intersected mineralization in the vein network above the Jubilee shear zone hanging wall. The high-grade mineralization extended laterally to the north by 115 metres and was seen at a vertical depth of 165 metres.

The company stated this gold mineralization is associated with a network of multidirectional veins. Other notable intersections in the Surluga North vein network are two more high-grade gold intercepts in holes SD-22-321 and SD-22-326.

Quentin Yarie, President and CEO of Red Pine Exploration, commented,

“These results from the Surluga North vein network demonstrate that significant mineralization exists in the hanging wall of the Jubilee shear zone and validates the potential for a hybrid pit and underground project”

The Jubilee shear zone hanging wall is still unexplored to the north of the intersection in SD-22-396. Red Pine Exploration will follow the vein network in this direction for further extensions of gold mineralization.

Red Pine Exploration Inc. (RPX) is up 20.69 per cent and is trading at $0.35 per share as of 12:10 p.m. EST.
