UniDoc (UDOC) has signed an MOU to provide telehealth services in Ghana.

The MOU is under the offices of Her Royal Highness, Nana Hemaa Kwasi Bozoma III, Ndweafo Royal Stool, Ekpu, Western Region, and Nana Angate Kpanyinli III.

The partners intend to conduct tests of UniDoc’s Virtual Care kiosk system to formalize a definitive agreement by April 16, 2022. Said agreement would consist of between 250 to 400 kiosk locations and the registering of no less than 2M patient subscribers.

The Virtual Care solution integrates a range of physical products, web-based services and analytical tools, along with access to UniDoc’s network of health care providers, pharmacies and hospitals.

The company stands to benefit from leasing and subscription fees as well as revenue sharing.

“On behalf of the Chiefs, Elders, the youth, and the entire community, I wish to express my profound gratitude to UniDoc and their alliance partners for this wholesome initiative. These facilities go a long way to curb the long queues at hospitals in order to see doctors for consultation. We look forward to more future collaborative efforts towards the development of our communities,” stated the Queen Mother.

“The dialogue with our potential partners has been very positive to date. The health care environment in Ghana has long been somewhat focused on their urban centres. We believe our telehealth solution can help by realigning resource priorities and holds the potential to spread primary diagnostic assessment more evenly across the nation,” stated Antonio Baldassarre, UniDoc’s CEO.

UniDoc is developing a personal remote virtual clinic that replicates a physician’s office.

UniDoc (UDOC) is unchanged trading at $1.31 per share as of 10:40 am EST.
