Turmalina Metals Corp. (TBX) has begun the 2022 field program at the San Francisco Project in San Juan, Argentina.

Drilling at the project previously established there being one of the highest-grade tourmaline copper-gold-silver breccias ever discovered.

The San Francisco Project is in San Juan, Argentina.

The project area contains over 70 tourmaline breccia and vein occurrences, several of which support small-scale mining.

Turmalina is focused on mapping and sampling the breccia and veins systems in the project area, and drill testing the highest priority targets.

Turmalina expanded the project from 3,400 hectares to 34,600 hectares last year.

Initial exploration of the expanded area returned ‘encouraging’ results at multiple breccia and vein systems.

The 2022 field program will focus on defining and drill testing new targets in the expanded project area.

Detailed mapping and sampling are currently underway at high-priority drill targets, including several recently discovered intrusion-related gold systems.

Detailed work will begin in the next few weeks at several reported projects including the Los Pirquineros breccia pipes, the NW Santa Barbara breccia pipe, and the Santa Barbara tourmaline breccia pipes.

Vein systems scheduled for detailed follow-up include the Miranda and the Tocota vein system.

Dr. Rohan Wolfe, CEO of Turmalina, stated,

“The identification of numerous intrusion-related gold systems within the granodiorite body in the centre of our project area is very significant as these systems are typically characterised by relatively large tonnages.”

Turmalina Metals Corp. (TBX) is down 5.26 per cent trading at $0.45 per share as of 1:13 p.m. EST.
