TRU Precious Metals (TRU) announced a 2,000-metre diamond drill program at its flagship Golden Rose Project.

Drilling looks to complete 10-12 diamond drill holes and will focus on the Jacob’s Pond area, where the company recently completed an IP survey.

The Jacob’s Main and Jacob’s Twin areas contain numerous geological, geochemical, and geophysical anomalies over four kilometres, which form part of the 20 km structural trend on the northwest side of Golden Rose.

Golden Rose is a regional-scale land package covering approximately 236 km2 in the Central Newfoundland Gold Belt, including approximately 45 km of strike length along the deposit-bearing Cape Ray – Valentine Lake Shear Zone.

Grab sampling results taken over the summer include 6 out of 21 samples grading from 1.10 per cent Cu to 4.19 per cent Cu, including one sample grading 3.42 per cent Cu and 2.76 grams per tonne (g/t) Au.

TRU’s VP of Property Development and company Director Barry Greene commented that the team has been diligently completing geochemical, geological, and geophysical surveys over the past year and now they feel ready to test a number of these targets where the combined data leads.

“Given the location of these targets along the Cape Ray-Valentine Lake structural corridor, which hosts proven gold deposits on adjacent claims, we are delighted to have broken ground.”

TRU Precious Metals is engaged in the acquisition and exploration of gold properties. Its projects include Golden Rose and Twilite Gold projects in Newfoundland and Labrador.

TRU Precious Metals Corp. (TRU) was 5.88 per cent higher trading at C$0.09 per share as of 12:50 pm ET.
