OverActive Media’s (OAM) Toronto Ultra has secured a hard-earned second place season finish in the Call of Duty League.

Canada’s only Call of Duty League franchise earned the position on Championship Weekend in Los Angeles from August 19-22.

The route to the final saw the team eliminate OpTic Chicago, Minnesota RØKKR and Dallas Empire, before succumbing to last year’s runner-up, the Atlanta FaZe.

Jamie “Insight” Craven made the Scuf Team of the Year and was nominated for Rookie of the Year, while Cameron “Cammy” McKilligan was nominated for MVP.

Toronto Ultra sponsors include CRAVE Meals, Bell, Bud Light, EPOS, Jack Link’s, TD and Universal Music Canada.

Call of Duty is the single largest console game in the world with more than 400 million games sold since 2003. The Call of Duty League, in only its second season, is seeing double-digit AMA growth year-over-year for 2021, as well as double the overall hours, watched year-over-year compared to the 2020 season.

OverActive Media views esports as essential to its focus on becoming a global sports media and entertainment company. The company unveiled a 15,000 square foot esports training facility in Toronto earlier this year.
