Four flavours from The Alkaline Water Company’s (CSE:WTER) A88 Infused line will be sold by east-coast supermarket chain, ShopRite.

The chain has authorised the sale of the company’s Lemon, Blood Orange, Watermelon, and Raspberry beverages in its stores. ShopRite will stock the drinks in all 280 of its retail store locations.

This is the latest development in The Alkaline Water Company’s expansion into the east coast. The company is reportedly seeing strong interest from new retailers, a sign that its expansion efforts are gaining momentum.

The Alkaline Water Company’s President and CEO, Richard A Wright, said the company is seeing strong pull-through for its A88 Infused brand.

“Over the last few months, we have added thousands of new stores to our total retail count of approximately 70,000 retail locations nationwide.

“Not only are we seeing strong interest from new retailers, we are also expanding our existing customer relationships,” he said.

In addition to the partnership with ShopRite, The Alkaline Water Company has now firm commitments from over 12,500 retail stores. The commitments will see the company through to the end of summer, one of its busiest business periods.

“These represent a wide assortment of stores, and some of the nation’s largest supermarkets, wholesalers, and distributors.

“We have started the new fiscal year on a high note and expect the demand environment to remain strong through our seasonally strong summer months,” Richard added.

The Alkaline Water Company (WTER) is down 1.07 per cent and trading at C$1.85 per share at 11:02am EDT.
