With inflation and the cost of living perpetually increasing, TELUS (T) joins forces with Old Brewery Mission to launch Health for Good mobile health clinics.

The duo will focus efforts to provide healthcare services, among other things, to help marginalized Montreal residents and communities.

Homelessness has hit record levels according to a release from TELUS.

Through combining efforts, the hope is more Montrealer’s in need are able to access the high-quality care.

“Through the partnership, we’re helping remove barriers for marginalized people in the Montreal region,” said Martin Bélanger, Managing Director, TELUS Health.

As far as growing, there is a to expand. “We’re continuing to expand our Health for Good mobile clinic program across Canada, enabling us to support more individuals in need,” added Bélanger.

“We’re excited about offering such a wide variety of cohabitation and reintegration support services to people experiencing homelessness in Montreal through our partnership with TELUS Health for Good,” says James Hughes, president and CEO of the Old Brewery Mission.

“By coming together, we’re ensuring that marginalized Montrealer’s have low-barrier access to high-quality services to help them find a permanent home,” added James Hughes, president and CEO of the Old Brewery Mission.

Working alongside the Old Brewery Mission is Accueil Bonneau.

Together low-barrier services will be provided by focusing on three key priorities such as Physical healthcare services and psychosocial support, cohabitation and reintegration support and rehousing.

All organizations on board seem to have thought of everything for the clinics. The mobile health clinics are decked out with TELUS LTE Wi-Fi and TELUS Mobility services.

In addition, the space has been sectioned for comfort and care. One for a patient waiting/reception area, and a second which has an examination table and workstation.

The communications company plans to increase its program commitment to $13 million until 2026.
