Surge (NILI) is reporting prospective data from the Nevada North Lithium Project in Elko County, Nevada.

Logging of drill holes NN2207 and NN2208 demonstrates intersections with the layered claystone zones and blue-grey clay in drill holes NN2201 through NN2206, which contain significant lithium values.

Though assays are pending, the preliminary findings further the potential for a high-tenor lithium clay deposit.

The new intersections are 790 and 1,130 m south and south-southeast of discovery hole NN2201.

Hole NN2207 cut 114.3 m of claystone compared to the average of 45.7 m in holes 01, 03, 04 and 05.

Hole NN2208 is 354 m south-southwest of NN2207 and cut 73.15 m of the favourable claystone.

Previously collected soil samples along the slope exposure of the claystone south of NN2207 returned 4,940, 2,040, 3,640, 1,090 and 1,440 ppm lithium, with a total elevation change of about 36 m.

Surge Battery Metals is a mineral exploration company focused on nickel-iron alloy in British Columbia and lithium in Nevada to supply the electric vehicle market.

Surge (NILI) is up by 5.26 per cent, trading at $0.30 per share as of 11:06 am ET.
