Stack Capital (STCK) holding Omio has partnered with Uber to offer train and bus bookings.

Berlin’s Omio operates a travel platform – which will be integrated into the Uber app – that allows consumers in Europe, the U.S. and Canada to book trains, buses, ferries and flights.

The partnership will initially launch in the U.K., providing Uber users access to Omio’s more than 1,000 transportation providers in 37 countries.

The news follows Omio’s most recent US$80M funding round with participation from Stack.

“Without question, this Uber partnership validates the strength and overall quality of Omio’s multi-modal travel platform,” said Jeff Parks, CEO of Stack Capital. “We’re extremely excited to have Omio partner with yet another world-class business and look forward to having the joint venture flourish in the coming years.”

Stack Capital is an investment holding company focused on growth-to-late-stage private businesses.

Stack Capital Group (STCK) is up by 0.29 per cent trading at $6.95 per share as of 2:29 pm ET.
