Skychain Technologies Inc. (SCT) has appointed West Ma as its Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Ma has over 35 years of experience in the technology industry, and brings with him expertise in blockchain and cryptocurrency.
Bill Zhang, Skychain CEO, commented on the appointment.
“Skychain is pleased to welcome West Ma as our new COO,” he remarked. “His expansive career and expertise will add value to the business.”
Previously, Mr. Ma has acted as CEO and Chief Representative of companies in China, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
The board also approved the creation of a new joint venture, Miningsky Container Limited, a container manufacturing company.
Skychain will retain a 25 per cent ownership in the newly incorporated venture, with the option to increase its ownership in the future.
Skychain will continue to support the joint venture by providing industry knowledge in container manufacturing.
The new company is based in British Columbia and will mainly operate in North America.
Skychain Technologies is a Vancouver-based blockchain infrastructure and power solutions provider.
The company provides power and energy solutions for large scale mining farms to help optimize mining power consumption.
