Sanu Gold Corp. (SANU) provided an update on its exploration activities on its Diguifara Gold Project in northeastern Guinea.
5,848 termite mound samples were collected across the permit area.
Sampling results defined four gold anomalies with individual anomalies extending up to 7 km.
30 termite mound samples returned greater than 1 gram per tonne gold (g/t Au), including 10.98 g/t, 3.73 g/t, 3.55 g/t, 3.42 g/t, 3.08 g/t, 2.62 g/t, 2.44 g/t, 2.16 g/t, 2.02 g/t, 1.86 g/t, 1.81 g/t, 1.80 g/t, 1.76 g/t, and 1.53 g/t.
Results define a parallel system of several north northwesterly and north-southerly-trending gold anomalies, coincident with structural corridors, interpreted as a shear zone from field mapping and regional imagery.
Sanu Gold CEO Martin Pawlitschek commented that the systematic work of the teams in the field again delineated areas of significant gold anomalism coincident with major structural trends and artisanal mining of gold mineralization in the bedrock at the Diguifara project.
“The combination of rock chip sampling, mapping and auger drilling is expected to yield high value RC drill targets.”
An 11,000-metre auger program is in the process of being completed and it is expected that this will yield targets for reverse circulation drill testing.
Sanu Gold Corp. (SANU) is exploring three high-quality gold exploration permits in Guinea, West Africa targeting multi-million-ounce gold discoveries. The company has defined kilometre scale gold-bearing structures on each permit with multiple high-value drill targets.
