• Sanatana Resources Inc. (STA) reported its remaining assays for the 12-hole drill program at its Oweegee copper-gold project
  • The company said this was also the longest drill intercept to date at the project
  • Results are highlighted in three separate areas of copper-gold mineralization, including Detla Ridge, Molloy and Snowpatch
  • The drill program consisted of 3,679 meters in 12 holes

Sanatana Resources has reported its remaining assays for the 12-hole drill program at its Oweegee copper-gold project.

According to a press release, the results include the longest intercept to date from hole OW-2022-09 at 196 meters at 0.20 per cent copper equivalent.

The company also said results highlight three separate areas of copper-gold mineralization, including Delta Ridge, Molloy and Snowpatch.

Delta Ridge drilling confirmed and expanded the area of known mineralization and included in drill hole 8 a 112.18-meter interval grading 0.22 g/t gold, 0.17 per cent copper and 1.10 g/t silver for a 0.33 per cent copper equivalent.

“We are pleased that the 2022 exploration program has proven that the Oweegee project has multiple copper-gold bearing porphyry phases, is largely over 4 kilometres across and contains economically significant copper and gold tenors. Holes 8 and 9 are the best results to date at Oweegee,” Peter Miles, CEO of Sanatana Resources, said in a press release. “Moving forward, Sanatana’s management team believes that Oweegee is one of the largest underexplored porphyry targets in the Golden Triangle. With less than 6,000m drilled to date and close proximity to highway 37 and the Northwest Transmission line, the project remains highly prospective. With our 2022 drill results, IP and geological understanding, we have compelling drill targets for our 2023 exploration program. Furthermore, Sanatana’s management believes that, as the world electrifies, copper projects in stable jurisdictions close to infrastructure will become ever more valuable.”

Drilling summary

Sanatana Resources said the drill program took place during the summer 2022 field season between July 29 and August 18. All 12 drill holes were done at the Delta prospect area, targeting six independent geophysical and or geochemical anomalies.

The Delta Ridge copper-gold mineralized zone was first located by historic drilling. As noted earlier, these results that were extended to the zone to the east are the highest grades and longest intervals to date.

Shares of Sanatana Resources (STA) remain unchanged at $0.035 as of 11:27 a.m. EST on Monday.
