RYU (RYU) will serve as official apparel partner of the Canada Esports Association.

The partnership will begin at the inaugural Commonwealth Esports Championships in Birmingham, U.K., from August 6-7, 2022.

The Championships are a pilot event for the Commonwealth Games through the partnership between the Global Esports Federation and the Commonwealth Games Federation.

RYU will be providing Canadian athletes, coaches and associates competing in Rocket League with a range of products to support them through travel, competition and recovery.

Designs will take inspiration from RYU’s previous work with Team Canada Skateboard and the Canadian Olympic Skateboarding team.

According to SkyQuest Technology, the global esports market was valued at US$1.08 billion in 2021 and is expected to reach US$2.8 billion by 2028.
