Rubicon Organics (CSE:ROMJ) has signed supply agreements with Alberta Gaming, Liquor, & Cannabis and British Columbia Liquor Distribution Branch.

Alberta Gaming, Liquor, & Cannabis (AGLC) is a regulatory body responsible for private retail cannabis and cannabis distribution. The AGLC also operates Alberta’s only legal online cannabis store.

British Columbia Liquor Distribution Branch (BCLDB) is the only wholesale distributor and public retailer of non-medical cannabis in the province.

Rubicon Organics’ supply agreements with these authorities provides the company with entry into two new markets. The company can now sell and distribute cannabis to provincial and private retailers in both provinces.

Rubicon Organics has an ongoing distribution arrangement with Agro-Greens Natural Products. Together with the Agro-Greens, the company now sells its products to all four western Canadian provinces, as well as Ontario.

Rubicon Organics’ CEO, Jesse McConnell, commented on the new supply agreements in Alberta and British Columbia.

“Building a direct supply relationship with the BCLDB is critical to success in our home province of British Columbia, and will allow Rubicon Organics to more quickly fulfil and deliver orders.

“I am thrilled that Simply Bare Organic cannabis will be available for the first time in Alberta, given the size and dynamic nature of the cannabis retail landscape that AGLC has built,” he said.

Rubicon Organics expects that initial purchase orders from Alberta and British Columbia will start in the next week. The company plans to ship products directly from its facility in Delta, British Columbia, within the same week.

Rubicon Organics (ROMJ) is down 3.70 per cent and trading at C$2.60 per share at 12:13pm EDT.
