Roscan Gold (ROS) has revealed the latest results from a drill program at the Kandiole project in West Mali.

The latest results come from 20 holes totalling 3,788 metres of drilling on the site’s Mankouke South Target, which involved air core drills alongside diamond drills.

Results included high grade intercepts at 6.15 grams per tonne gold over 46.5 metres from 11.8 metres downhole. Other drill holes returned 5.2 grams per tonne gold over 41 metres and 3.98 grams per tonne gold over 68 metres from 7.5 metres downhole.

The aircore program returned grades as high as three grams per tonne of gold over 20 metres of strike, alongside 1.12 grams per tonne of gold over 36 metres and 2.8 grams per tonne gold over 12 metres of strike.

Nana Sangmuah, the President and CEO said the positive results demonstrated the extension of mineralization within the Southern Mankouke zone.

“We have traced this new zone over 200 metres in strike length and continue to increase the footprint of the deposit.

“We are very excited to intersect gold in the fresh rock again and increase the depth of mineralization at Mankouke South. We remain focused on testing the full potential of our tenement package in order to yield more discoveries and expand on Mankouke South.

“Drilling in 2020 should unlock the potential of our highly prospective land package leading to more news flow in the coming weeks,” he said.

The drill results come amid something of a dip for gold companies in general, as the Russian Government’s recently announced vaccine prompts the value of traditional safe havens to diminish.

Roscan Gold (ROS) is up 4.3 per cent and is trading at C$0.485 per share at 10:35 am EDT.
