Red Pine Exploration (RPX) has found mineralized shear zones with potential gold mineralization in the Darwin-Grace Mine area.

The Darwin-Grace Mine is located in Ontario.

Three major structures can now be identified in the area: the Grace Shear Zone, Nyman Shear Zone, and a newly discovered, yet to be named shear zone.

Visual indicators of gold mineralization, quartz veins containing pyrite, and visible gold have been observed in the three shear zones. Indicators are also in multiple intersects in the Nyman Shear Zone.

The intersection of gold in the Nyman Shear Zone supports the association between positive visual indicators and gold mineralization.

The discovery of gold mineralization 65 metres below surface in the Nyman Shear Zone opens a large exploration target in the structure between the surface and the lower levels of the former Darwin-Grace mine.

The intersection in hole DG-22-317 sits at the edge of drilling in the area and supports the theory that gold mined in the lower levels of the former Darwin-Grace mine could extend close to surface.

Quentin Yarie, President and CEO of Red Pine Exploration, stated,

“The Darwin-Grace area has remained a target of interest for us since 2017 when 6 holes were drilled, all intersecting shallow gold mineralization… The potential of the Darwin-Grace area to host high grade gold mineralization is well known with historical operations averaging over 11 grams per tonne in 1934 with one vein averaging 571 ounce per tonne from the 900-foot mark.”

Red Pine Exploration Inc. (RPX) is down 8.89 per cent and is trading at $0.41 per share as of 2:22 p.m. ET.
