Quorum Information Technologies (QIS) has expanded operations at its DealerMine Business Development Centre (BDC).

DealerMine is one of the sales and service systems which is a part of Quorum’s software and services portfolio. DealerMine provides customer relationship management and business development centre services, which drive revenue within automotive dealerships.

Quorum already has one DealerMine BDC call centre office location, located in Saint John, New Brunswick. However, the company is establishing a second BDC office, located in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

The new office location will utilise a pre-existing space which Quorum was already leasing.

Quorum attributed the strategic expansion to increasing demands at the first BDC office in Saint John, New Brunswick.

The company’s President and CEO, Maury Marks, commented on the pressing need for a second BDC office location.

“The increasingly competitive nature of the Saint John, NB call centre environment and the federal government’s CERB program have made it difficult to recruit the number of staff required to meet our dealership’s increasing demands for BDC services.

“We are firmly committed to our BDC in Saint John, NB, but strategically we needed to expand to a second location to allow us to attract additional BDC staff.

“In St. John’s, NL, Quorum has existing leased space available, as well as HR and Network staff. These combined factors made St. John’s a natural choice for a second BDC office,” he said.

Quorum Information Technologies (QIS) is up 6.52 per cent and is trading at C$0.98 per share at 9:54am EDT.
