Prospector Metals Corp. (TSXV:PPP) has discovered multiple high-grade platinum metal occurrences at its Devon Project in northwestern Ontario.

Ninety-three grab samples were collected, ranging from below detection up to 1.125 per cent copper (Cu), 0.53 per cent nickel (Ni), and 3.54 g/t palladium and platinum (Pd, Pt), and 0.123 per cent cobalt (Co).

The team believes these results warrant a regional helicopter-borne VTEM survey that will help to isolate the sulphidic dykes at or near surface and those obscured under cover.

The Devon Project comprises 122 square kilometres acquired through staking, 50 km southwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Historical occurrences include: 0.4 per cent Cu, 0.17 per cent Ni over 12.19 metres in a drill core collared near Crystal Lake, and numerous grab samples anomalous in Cu, Ni, and platinum group elements.

The company’s vice president of exploration, Jo Price, said in a statement, “The first pass sampling results at Devon offer excellent discovery opportunities exhibiting district scale potential for Ni-Cu-PGE deposits within mafic and ultramafic dyke systems that appear to be mineralised across the property.”

Prospector Metals Corp. is a Canadian exploration company whose principal business activities are the identification, exploration, and development of economically viable mineral properties.

Prospector Metals Corp. opened trading at $0.095 per share.
