Probe Metals (TSXV:PRB) has extended the strike at the Val-d’Or East project in Quebec, through its latest drill program.

The total program drilled 3,000 metres into the site across 12 shallow drilling locations, expanding the resource strike by 300 metres

Probe was targeting the Courvan Gold Trend, which runs underneath the property. Through the program, the company has identified three gold zones named the Creek, Bussiere West and the South East zone.

The South East zone returned assays of 8.9 gram per tonne gold over 10.8 metres, which included 26.7 grams per tonne over 2.5 metres and 7.3 grams per tonne over one metre.

The Creek zone returned assays of 6.8 grams per tonne gold over 14 metres, alongside 39.8 grams per tonne over one metre and 29.1 grams per tonne over one metre.

Bussiere West’s best results were a couple of short intercepts of a metre or so, which returned high-grade gold results.

These were a 9.2 grams per tonne result over one metre, and a 5.1 grams per tonne result over 1.1 metres.

CEO and President of Probe Metals, David Palmer said results showed strong mineral expansion across the project, from numerous different drilling targets.

“These latest intercepts from Courvan show thick, high-grade mineralization located along trend of our current gold zones and represent some of the best results from the property to date.

“Our focus now will be to follow up on the very successful winter drilling program on the Courvan and Monique properties and continue our expansion infill and regional programs.

“Although we did experience a delay due to the event business closured, we don’t force any impact on our exploration program for 2020,” he said.

Probe Metals (PRB) is down 0.03 per cent and is trading at C$1.21 per share at 10:55 am EDT.
