- However, Gary will remain an active source of input, regarding the company’s flagship Lac Knife graphite project in northern Quebec
- During his time with the company, Gary helped to expand the the project’s resource profile, developed the site’s economic potential, and organised integral funding initiatives
- The company’s Board has begun searching for Gary’s replacement but candidates for the position have been revealed thus far

Gary Economo, President and CEO of Focus Graphite (TSXV:FMS) is retiring from the role at the end of this month.
Following his retirement, Gary will remain an active source of input, regarding the company’s flagship Lac Knife graphite project in northern Quebec.
Jeffrey York, Chairman of Focus’s Board, thanked Gary on behalf of the company.
“We would like to thank Gary for his leadership and outstanding achievements in conducting highly successful exploration drilling programs at the Lac Knife project,” he said.
During his time with the company, Gary helped to expand the the project’s resource profile, developed the site’s economic potential, and organised integral funding initiatives.
Jeffery went on to say that the Board has begun searching for Gary’s replacement and is hoping to find someone with the experience to lead the Lac Knife project through its next stage in development.
Thus far the company has not revealed any potential candidates for the open position.
Commenting on his retirement, Gary expressed his confidence in the company and the Lac Knife project moving forward.
Over the past 10 years I had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented people in the industry. It has been an honour and privilege leading Focus Graphite through its development journey,
“I believe this is the ideal time for me to step aside and allow my successor to complete the journey that we started at Focus Graphite many years ago,” he said.
Focus Graphite (FMS) is holding steady at C$0.025 per share at 1:45pm EDT.
