Pioneer Media (PNER) has acquired Bark Ventures, an NFT game developer.

It issued 2,857,142 common shares priced at C$1.75 per share.

Bark, based in Vancouver, develops NFT play-to-earn games for niche communities.

The acquisition is part of Pioneer’s growth strategy within Web 3.0 focused on NFTs, NFT games and decentralized autonomous organizations. It intends to create a full Web 3.0 ecosystem with exposure to small and medium-sized companies capitalizing on the shifting crypto landscape.

“We feel confident that these new emerging trends will be the cornerstone of the next digital age, and the recent surge in NFTs, NFT games and DAOs are changing the historical distribution channels and breaking down barriers to entry,” stated Mike Edwards, CEO of Pioneer.
