Patriot (PAT) announced that OVG360’s Angel of The Winds Arena in Everett, Washington, has selected SmartGateway’s physical security solution.

The SmartGateway at the entrances will keep patrons, staff, players and performers safe from weapons in the venue. This “frictionless” artificial intelligence (AI)-driven weapons-scanning capability will eliminate delays caused by traditional weapons-screening technology and operations.

It will scan entrants without forcing them to stop and empty their pockets of personal items during security screenings. The solution also requires fewer security guards to operate. Any extra security personnel can be redeployed to other parts of the arena for higher-value tasks, such as responding to incidents.

OVG360, a division of Oak View Group, is a full-service venue management and hospitality company. The over 8,000-seat arena is home to the Everett Silvertips hockey team, as well as various entertainment events throughout the year.

Patriot One makes unobtrusive, artificial intelligence AI-driven weapons and threat detection systems. It enables arenas, casinos, schools, theatres and other businesses to provide unprecedented safety while also improving the patron experience.

Patriot One Technologies Inc. (PAT) is up 4.65 per cent, trading at C$0.45 per share at 12:32 pm ET.
