Osisko Development (ODV) has intersected 35.25 g/t gold over 11 m at its Cariboo Gold Project in central B.C.

The discovery stems from drilling results from the company’s ongoing 200,000-meter exploration and category conversion drill program at the project.

The company has drilled 41,000 m in 134 holes in 2021.

Drilling highlights

  • 35.25 g/t gold over 11 m in hole IM-21-024, including 239 g/t gold over 1.50 m
  • 11.14 g/t gold over 9.4 m in hole IM-21-029, including 66.30 g/t gold over 0.5 m
  • 21.69 g/t gold over 6.35 m in hole IM-21-031, including 53 g/t gold
    over 1 m and 50.10 g/t gold over 0.70 m
  • 24.60 g/t gold over 1.20 m in hole IM-21-033
  • 18.80 g/t gold over 6.20 m in hole IM-21-035, including 102 g/t gold over 0.70 m and 33.10 g/t gold over 0.75 m
  • 21.11 g/t gold over 2.80 m in hole IM-21-035, including 63.20 g/t gold over 0.75 m

Mineralized quartz veins on Cariboo are overall sub-vertical dip and northeast strike. Vein corridors are modelled at a minimum thickness of 2 m and average about 4.5 m true width. Individual mineralized veins within these corridors have widths varying from centimetres to several meters and strike lengths from a few meters to over 50 m. These corridors have been defined from surface to a vertical depth averaging 300 meters and remain open for expansion at depth and along strike.

Gold grades are intimately associated with quartz vein-hosted pyrite, as well as pyritic, intensely silicified wall rock haloes in close proximity to the veins.

Chris Lodder, President of Osisko Development, commented,

“Today’s results from these drill holes, including two intercepts greater than 100 g/t gold, continue to demonstrate high-grade mineralization at both the Mosquito and Shaft Deposits and multiple mineralized vein corridors per drill hole.”

Osisko Development is a gold development company focused on projects in Mexico and Canada.

Osisko Development (ODV) is down by 0.3 per cent and is currently trading at $6.75 per share as of 12:00 pm ET.
