OOOOO Entertainment (OOOO) is partnering with Teddy Sagi to launch Fanz.com, an online destination for the soccer community.

Teddy Sagi is an industry-leading entrepreneur and the owner of LabTech, a property holding and management company that, among other assets, owns the majority of London’s iconic Camden Market.

Together, OOOOO and Teddy Sagi will launch the Fanz.com platform, which will offer live video commerce, NFTs, and mobile gaming to over 3.5 billion soccer fans worldwide.

In China, the mega-trend of interactive video commerce continues to surge and is expected to reach $420 billion this year, according to management consulting firm McKinsey.

Fanz.com will also offer a service for athletes and teams to create and launch non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and smart contracts that can be sold on the platform. The platform will whitelist fans to ensure that only “legitimate sports fans” can purchase the NFTs.

“We believe that the combination of video commerce, gaming and NFTs are a powerful combination for a football fan,” said OOOOO and Fanz founder Sam Jones. “Fanz.com will allow direct access to your favourite team or athlete, whether that is a live video shopping experience where you can watch someone signing jerseys and interact with them, or acquiring a digital asset for your favourite team or athlete.”

OOOOO will use its leading video commerce technology, which is the foundation for the OOOOO ecommerce platform, as the basis for Fanz.com. The technology will allow sports teams and athletes to sell memorabilia and merchandise directly to consumers through the Fanz platform.

“We have chosen to build this through the browser rather than an app, to reach the true global audience of football,” added Mr. Jones.

OOOOO is the majority holder of the new venture that will launch Fanz and has selected Luna PR as its public relations provider. In addition to Teddy Sagi’s partnership, Fanz will be supported by investor Tsangs Group, headquartered in Hong Kong.

OOOOO Entertainment operates a technology platform that enables retailers, brands, and influencers to share product-based opinions directly to consumers.

Shares in OOOOO Entertainment (OOOO) are up 1.96 per cent, trading at $0.52 per share as of 2:04 pm EST.
