NexTech AR Solutions (NTAR) has become a Microsoft partner, as part of the ongoing expansion of its AR ecommerce business.

Through the approval, NexTech’s software can now be sold through Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace, an online store that offers applications or services for the widely used Azure public cloud.

The company called the approval an enormous business opportunity and is most excited about its InfernoAR system becoming available on the e-marketplace.

Looking forward, NexTech hopes to become part of Microsoft’s cross sell program, which would promote InfernoAR sales by incentivising sellers.

Evan Gappelberg, CEO of NexTech AR, comment on the approval from Microsoft and the upcoming plans for its AR software.

“With this Microsoft partner program NexTech AR continues to build momentum as it scales up customer wins and is at the forefront of making video conferencing and AR easy to implement and quickly accessible to everyone.

“NexTech’s industry-leading InfernoAR platform and end-to-end augmented reality solution along with our partnership with Microsoft and it’s huge unparalleled ecosystem brings Nextech AR deeper into the technology marketplace than ever before and provides us with an enormous opportunity for more customer wins,” he said.

The news follows a strong quarter for the company’s market performance, which rose sharply in June on renewed investor interest in emerging AR sector, tripling in the space of a few weeks to reach a height of $9.65 per share by July.

NexTech AR Solutions (NTAR) is up 11.89 per cent and is trading at C$5.74 per share 10:54pm EDT.
