B.C. Craft Supply (CRFT) has launched NBA icon Gary Payton’s General Principle athletic wellness brand.

B.C. Craft subsidiary Feelwell Brands and Payton’s Place are collaborating on the launch, which features performance-inspired cannabis products driven by premium natural ingredients and a keen awareness of the need for alternatives to opioids and prescription painkillers.

General Principle’s product lines target both licensed THC markets in California, and national direct-to-consumer hemp CBD markets beginning in December 2021.

The brand launch provides B.C. Craft with an entry point into the sports nutrition, recovery and hydration segments, as well as the broader U.S. cannabis market as legalization continues to spread.

Gary Payton, the founder of Payton’s Place, commented,

“I believe in the power of cannabis and the tangible impact it can have on your health – particularly in terms of pain management, athletic recovery and sports trauma. As an ex-pro athlete over the age of 50, I was inspired to create a line of products that every athlete can use as part of their fitness and recovery programs, and be confident in the results. Having been involved in all aspects of bringing this new brand to life, from the unique formulations to the packaging, I couldn’t be happier to bring General Principle to the U.S. market.”

Matthew Watters, CEO of B.C. Craft Supply added,

“I have a deep admiration for Gary Payton for what he has been able to accomplish in his impeccable sports career, as well as in the United States cannabis industry. We have always been committed to advancing cannabinoid innovation, which is why we’re incredibly excited to launch a craft quality, purpose-driven brand with Gary Payton, someone we know consumers trust for his ambition and relatability.”

Payton’s Place is a company dedicated to cannabinoid innovation and therapeutics in the United States.

B.C. Craft Supply is a diversified wellness company advancing cannabinoid and psychedelic innovation and psychotherapy.

B.C. Craft Supply (CRFT) is up by 12.5 per cent and is currently trading at $0.045 per share as of 1:54 pm ET.
