Mosaic Minerals (MOC) has started work on a drilling campaign at its 113 North property.
Drilling will cover a minimum of 1,000 metres on the property, located in Quebec.
Work will test the possible continuity of an ultramafic associated with the Fortin/Ducros showing of Québec Nickel’s nearby property, located approximately 300 metres south of 113 North.
There is a magnetic anomaly that seems to be associated with the showing, according to data and results obtained by Québec Nickel.
A prospecting campaign on the northern part of the 113 North property was also launched in the last few days.
The objective is to collect as many samples as possible to learn more about that part of the property.
The 113 North project is located in the southeastern part of Quebec’s Abitibi greenstone belt. It is comprised of 59 claims totalling 3,010 hectares within a six to 12-kilometre wide band made up of volcano-sedimentary rocks located between the granodiorite-tonalite batholiths of Josselin and Montgay.
The volcanic rocks exhibit felsic, intermediate, and mafic compositions and are intersected by dunite, gabbro and diorite dykes. Iron formations and clastic sedimentary rocks, such as greywackes and shales, are also present.
Mosaic Minerals Corp. (MOC) is unchanged, trading at $0.07 at 10:22 am ET.
