Dominic Duffy, CEO, of Mandalay Resources (TSX:MND) spoke to us at PDAC 2022 about the key challenges and opportunities for the business over the next 12 months.

One of the greatest opportunities the company has is the Björkdal mine in Skellefteå, Sweden with processing capacity of 1.3 million tonnes per annum, and production in 2021 of around 45,236 oz Au. The company has doubled spend on exploration over the past 2 years and is looking forward to the next 12 months.

One of the great challenges the business faces is rising costs of labour and inputs, a factor common to many producers. But one of the concerns that many companies have in other sectors, global instability, is often a tail win for gold and the future looks promising.
