Kontrol (KNR) is announcing decarbonization projects with two new Ontario cities.

The design-based projects pertain to multiple buildings, including a hockey arena.

The company is working with city representatives to build tailored, cost-effective, scalable solutions conducive to diversification across critical infrastructure markets.

City names are being kept confidential for industry-competitive purposes.

The news follows a recent order from a global cement company and an LOI to acquire a building service and solutions company in Alberta.

“Since the start of the new year, we have added three new public sector customers as we continue to scale our decarbonization and net-zero emission solutions,” stated Paul Ghezzi, Kontrol’s CEO. “The public sector is taking the lead on the move to net-zero emissions, and we are pleased to have won these new important opportunities. We are building and delivering solutions to help shape the cities of the future.”

Kontrol contributes to smart buildings and cities through IoT, cloud and SaaS technology. Its solutions and services improve energy management, monitor continuous emissions and accelerate sustainability.

Kontrol Technologies (KNR) is up by 4 per cent, trading at $0.52 per share as of 10:11 am EST.
