Kintavar Exploration’s (KTR) final copper-silver results confirm mineral expansion at the Sherlock zone on the Mitchi project in Quebec.

The latest results are from eight drill holes completed in December. This work targeted the eastern and southern portions of the open pit target, which was the shallow portion of the copper-silver mineralization.

According to KTR, all the holes intersected horizons of mineralization. The combined thickness of these horizons put together added up to over 35 metres.

Furthermore, two drill holes, MS-22-102 and MS-22-103, successfully extended mineralization at the northeastern end of the open pit target. Hole MS-22-103 was highlighted with a value of 0.63 per cent copper and 7.00 grams of silver per tonne over 20.15 metres.

Elsewhere on the project, the southern portion part of the drilling program focused on infilling where the mineralization starts from the surface. Reportedly, six of the holes in that portion successfully intersected the targeted copper-silver mineralization.

Various areas to support resource estimate

Kiril Mugerman, President and CEO of KTR, commented,

“We managed to infill the main zones to allow us to produce the first resource estimate on the Sherlock zone while extending the mineralization to the north at depth and to the east from surface. We are now planning the next stages of exploration and development of the Mitchi-Wabash district as a hub and spokes mining model.”

Kintavar Exploration (KTR) is up 8.33 per cent trading at $0.06 per share as of 1:48 p.m. EST.
