Jourdan Resources (JOR) has begun drilling the first drill hole of its phase 3 summer campaign at its Vallée property in Québec.

Starting with hole VAL22-6-1, the company is out to complete the northern and eastern extension of the drilled fence line previously started during Q3 2021 and continued in 2022. The company expects the new drill program will also extend the known mineral deposit at the Vallée property eastwards.

This new drilling campaign aims at drilling further east across the lithium-bearing pegmatite swarm, which has been mined in the immediate vicinity to the west.

11 holes of approximately 200 metres in depth each are scheduled to be drilled aiming at the pegmatite swarm identified by the trenching of the bulk sample collected on the Vallée property.

The previous assay results from the bulk sample revealed high Li2O grades.

The company believes it will significantly increase the known deposit at the Vallée property by adding more drill holes since the start of the exploration work in 2011.

Jourdan’s Executive Chairman, Dr. Andreas Rompel, stated that the team is continuing where they left off with the drilling campaigns of the previous years, and are working toward an expansion of the known deposit even further to the east by the planned 2,200 metres of diamond drilling.

“We are significantly increasing our database of information on the known deposit and the knowledge of its lithium contents by every hole we drill. Very soon we expect to be in a position to establish an initial mineral resource estimate.”

Jourdan Resources is a Canadian junior mining exploration company. It focuses on the acquisition, exploration, production, and development of mining properties in lithium and other minerals.

Jourdan Resources Inc. (JOR) is down 5.26 per cent, trading at C$0.09 per share at 9:45 am ET.
