Itafos (IFOS) has published the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Husky 1 / North Dry Ridge (H1/NDR) mine development project.

Located in Idaho, Conda’s production capacity is 550kt per year of monoammonium phosphate, monoammonium phosphate with micronutrients, super phosphoric acid, merchant grade phosphoric acid, and ammonium polyphosphate, as well as 27kt per year of hydrofluorosilicic acid.

Following completion of the independent technical report encompassing the Conda projects in 2019, the company previously defined H1/NDR as the path forward for Conda’s mine life extension.

“The publication of the Final EIS is a critical step toward achieving our strategic goal of extending Conda’s mine life with H1/NDR,” Itafos’ CEO, G. David Delaney, said.

Prepared under the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management‘s National Environmental Policy Act, this “opens the floor” for public comment before the Bureau will make a final decision on a proposed action.

Itafos operates as a vertically integrated phosphate fertilizer and specialty products company.

Itafos Inc. (IFOS) is down 2.19 per cent, trading at C$1.79 per share at 3 pm ET.
