InZinc Mining (IZN) reported final drill results from the 2022 exploration drill program at its Indy Zinc and precious metals project.

This is the company’s second drill program at the project, located in central British Columbia.

Shallow, wide spaced exploration drilling at 5 holes for 699 metres in 2022 explored the B-9 Zone along a 450-metre trend to 130 metres at depth. The B-9 Zone remains open for expansion to the north, south, and at depth.

Hole IB22-028 intersected mineralization 90 metres below (down-dip) of the above mineralization, returning 3.4 per cent zinc, 0.5 per cent lead and 4.6 g/t silver over 4.0 metres, in a wider zone (9.7 metres core length) of lower grade (below cut-off) mineralization.

InZinc CEO Wayne Hubert remarked that the 2022 exploration drilling at B-9 demonstrated both the continuity and expansion potential of the near-surface mineralization the team discovered at Indy in 2018.

“Geophysical and geochemical surveys indicate the stratigraphy hosting B-9 continues for hundreds of metres, north and south, beyond our current area of exploratory drilling. The depth potential of the B-9 zone also remains unexplored. With the recent drill discovery of nickel, copper, and cobalt with zinc at Keel Red and 10 km of targets remaining to be tested, InZinc is really only in the early days of scratching the surface in this new unexplored district of BC.”

The 2022 exploration program included 1,259 line km of airborne geophysics and 2616 metres of diamond drilling in 17 holes. Drilling of the B-9 Zone expanded mineralization, with yet unknown limits. The discovery of the Keel Red oxide zinc, copper, nickel, and cobalt occurrence 4 km to the north of B-9 suggests an additional mineralizing event is also possible at the project.

The company also completed all the earn-in obligations and exercised its option to acquire a 100 per cent interest in Indy.

InZinc Mining Ltd. (IZN) is engaged in acquiring and exploring mineral assets in the United States and Canada. The company’s projects include the West Desert property, PX property, and Indy property.

InZinc (IZN) was trading at $0.003 per share as of 1:45 pm ET.
