Infinity Stone (GEMS) has expanded its holdings in the James Bay Lithium District in Quebec.

The company has staked an additional 2,568 hectares – comprised of two blocks covering 1,540 and 1,028 hectares – adjacent to Patriot Battery Metals’ (PMET) Corvette Discovery.

The northwestern block is contiguous with the southern boundary of Infinity Stone’s Taiga Project.

The newly staked Hellcat Project is located 8.7 km southeast of Infinity Stone’s Camaro Project.

The new land acquisition hosts 12 historically-mapped pegmatite occurrences, with 11 appearing in the Hellcat Project.

Infinity Stone’s total land position in the lithium district now stands at 3,850 hectares with 21 historically mapped pegmatites.

In 2017, Patriot discovered the CV Lithium Trend, an emerging lithium-bearing pegmatite district spanning the Corvette property, with a reported length of over 25 km open along strike.

Four grab samples from the CV8 showing on the Corvette property – approximately 1,400 m north of the Taiga Project – averaged 4.6 per cent Li2O.

In 2019, Patriot also identified several new high-grade copper-gold mineralized areas, as well as seven well-mineralized lithium occurrences (CV5 – CV11), between 700 to 1,500 m north of the Taiga Project.

In other news, Infinity Stone has identified five historically mapped pegmatites on the Camaro Project. It has mobilized a team to the area, with updates forthcoming shortly.

“Infinity Stone is aggressively expanding our footprint in the rapidly evolving James Bay Lithium District through the staking of additional claims that have strategic exploration potential,” said Zayn Kalyan, CEO of Infinity Stone. “With the addition of the Hellcat, alongside the newly identified pegmatites on the Camaro, the coming months will be very active on the exploration front.”

Infinity Stone Ventures is building a diversified energy metals supply for the clean energy revolution alongside its established SaaS solution portfolio.

Infinity Stone (GEMS) closed up by 11.27 per cent trading at $0.395 per share.
