Infield Minerals (INFD) is releasing the latest round of exploration results from its Desperado gold-silver property in Nevada.

Results returned 0.56 grams per tonne of gold and 2.6 grams per tonne of silver over 1.52 metres in the highest-value hole. Several additional anomalous 1.52-metre sample intervals above 0.1 grams per tonne of gold were discovered in other holes

Drilling in 2022 was designed to test lithological contacts and structural features for epithermal style mineralization.

Work was finished in July, covering 1,517 metres of reverse circulation drilling across 10 drill holes. All assay results from the program have now been received.

“The data obtained from the Desperado drilling campaign provides important information about the subsurface rocks, which can lead to a better understanding of the geological framework and exploration potential for the area,” President and CEO Evandra Nakano.

“As a priority initiative, we continue to assess quality project opportunities that could augment our portfolio and benefit our shareholders. Infield offers a solid foundation for potential consolidation of exploration and development assets, including a positive cash position, strongly held insider ownership, and an experienced technical and management team.”

Several of the selected targets exhibited chargeability highs within lithological contact zones. Drilling the targets intersected wide zones of up to 20 percent disseminated pyrite within intensely clay altered rhyolite near contact zones with andesite.

Infield Minerals Corp. (INFD) is down 22.2 per cent, trading at $0.035 at 11:20 am ET
