iMining (IMIN) has entered into a colocation agreement with Fibre Centre, one of Canada’s predominant network data centre operators.

Fibre Centre, headquartered in Moncton, New Brunswick, functions as a carrier hotel hosting major global, national and regional carrier networks in Tier III grade facilities.

The agreement allows iMining to take advantage of competitive power and direct access to core Internet backbones, priming the company for growth as a physical infrastructure and cloud platform provider.

Specifically, the company intends to deploy its own global fibre-based private network, not accessible by public Internet, to secure digital currency transactions between major global markets and private cloud customers.

The companies are in discussions on securing 100 MW in capacity with the potential to secure over 300 MW next year to accommodate future growth.

Uri Litvinenko, CEO of Fibre Centre, commented,

“Fibre Centre is proud to be the first carrier hotel in North America to accommodate digital assets industry leaders like iMining.”

Khurram Shroff, Chairman and CEO of iMining, added,

“We are very excited to work with one of Canada’s key carrier hotels. Fibre Centre will enable iMining’s private, secure network to move digital assets globally with the best possible speeds over major global fibre optic networks.”

iMining Blockchain and Cryptocurrency is focused on linking traditional capital markets with blockchain investment opportunities.

iMining (IMIN) closed up 16.67 per cent trading at $0.14 per share.
