Patriot One Technologies’ (PAT) PATSCAN Threat Detection Platform has been integrated into the iDENT Mobile Onsite Detection System.

The iDENT MODS unit is designed for use in public gathering locations, including stadiums, arenas, and other entertainment venues. It has specific modules for early detection of weapons and potential health-related threats, like the COVID-19 virus.

The iDENT MODS are constructed from mobile shipping containers, making them easy to transport between locations, and quick to deploy. Event attendees, venue staff, and other personnel walk through the mobile checkpoint, and are scanned by the system.

The platform will scan for concealed weapons such as large knives, guns, and rifles. It will also scan for symptoms of viral infections, such as elevated body temperature.

If any threat is detected, the system will notify onsite security immediately. This will ensure that the scanned person can be safely moved to a secondary screening area for further investigation.

By detecting weapons and potential health threats at event venues, the system will ensure public safety and security in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Patriot One’s recently appointed CEO, Peter Evans, believes that opening up event venues is critical to communities from both an economic and social perspective.

“Incorporating our PATSCAN platform threat detection solutions into these mobile onsite detection units not only provides entertainment, hospitality, and retail businesses the opportunity to return to work, but it also provides event goers the confidence that they will be safe and secure as they return to their favourite entertainment and sporting events,” he said.

The launch and showcasing of the patent-pending iDENT MODS unit will take place over the next few months. Various leaders from the entertainment, professional sports, and events industries have expressed significant interest in the units, which could ensure safe environments for their patrons.

Patriot One Technologies is up 1.82 per cent and is trading for C$0.56 per share, as of 3:15pm EST.
