Cannabis company, High Tide (CSE:HITI) has opened a retail cannabis store in Medicine Hat, Alberta, through its subsidiary KushBar.

This will be the company’s third KushBar location to open in the province of Alberta. The first two were the Morinville and Camrose cannabis stores, which High Tide opened in late 2019. Both of those retail locations have been operating strongly since then.

The Medicine Hat is also High Tide’s 33rd retail cannabis store location in Canada overall.

The cannabis store, which opened today, is located at Unit #117 at 3215 Dunmore Road SE in Medicine Hat. The city of Medicine Hat is the sixth largest city in Alberta, and a key consumer market.

High Tide and KushBar chose the location because of its advantageous location along the Trans-Canada Highway. The company expects that the property’s position will help the store to perform well.

High Tide’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Raj Grover, commented on the company’s continuing progress.

“As our 33rd retail cannabis location across Canada, the Medicine Hat Store is expected to perform well, based on its great location with ample parking near other valued tenants in a major commercial area.

“We continue to provide access to recreational cannabis to our customers, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and sustainably execute on our growth plans for shareholders,” he added.

High Tide is continuing to develop more strategic locations across Canada, in order to expand its retail business further.

High Tide is up 7.14 per cent, and is currently trading for 15 cents per share, as of 9:48am EDT.
