Heritage Cannabis (CANN) has entered an agreement with West Virginia’s Harvest Care Medical.

Harvest Care is a leading grower, processor and provider of medical cannabis products with ten dispensary licenses in West Virginia, of which two are in operation.

Heritage will supply production equipment to Harvest Care, as well as training and supervision of staff, in exchange for favorable shelf allocation in Harvest Care’s West Virginia dispensaries. Heritage expects the production equipment to be operational by September.

Harvest Care was also granted one of ten cultivation licenses last year, allowing Heritage to produce branded products for medical cannabis consumers in the state.

According to MJBiz, total cannabis sales in West Virginia are expected to grow to US$40 million by 2025.

“We believe that in an early-stage, lower-competition market like West Virginia, we can successfully bring Heritage’s branded offerings to this growing market and see vast upside potential in our expansion strategy and its positive impact on profitability,” said David Schwede, Heritage’s CEO.

Heritage Cannabis Holdings offers innovative cannabis products to the medical and recreational markets in Canada and the U.S. Brands include Purefarma, Pura Vida, RAD, Premium 5, feelgood, CB4 and ArthroCBD.

Heritage (CANN) is up by 14.29 per cent trading at $0.04 per share as of 11:23 am EST.
