Hemlo Explorers (HMLO) has revealed the extent of recent exploration at its Ontario properties.

The company started a 3D mapping program in June on the North Limb project, with an initial focus on the eastern portion of the project.

Hemlo is also conducting ground truth work on the known stripped areas of mineralization on  the site’s North Limb, previously identified through drilling.

Meanwhile, Hemlo has begun collating exploration data for the Pic project, which is also within the Hemlo exploration camp. The Pic project includes the Smoke Lake, Wire Lake, Porphyry Lake and Beggs Stock exploration areas.

Once the company has completed collating the disparate data on the property, it will begin assessing the area for gold trends.

On the Beggs Stock property, the company is beginning additional field work with prospecting, mapping and soil and rock sampling following up previously identified high grade targets,

Grab samples on the Beggs Stock property returned 109 grams per tonne gold, 14.7 grams per tonne gold and 11.6 grams per tonne gold.

The company also flew an airborne high-resolution magnetic survey over the Pic project, specifically the section that includes the Porphyry Lake area.

CEO of Hemlo Explorers, Brian Howlett, said he was excited by the recent exploration work is looking forward to executing a more comprehensive exploration program.

“We remain hopeful of the exploration permits being issued in the near future as restrictions from the COVID-19 crisis begin to get lifted,” he said.
