Green Battery Minerals (GEM) has mobilized crews to its Berkwood Graphite Project.

The Vancouver-based resource company’s property is located in the Manicouagan region of Quebec.

A drill contractor is now ready to start additional drilling on the project’s Zone 6 area. The work is intended to further define the extent and grade of the zone’s graphite discovery.

It will also drill into the outcrops that were exposed in our last mapping program done this past July.

The 20-hole 2,000-metre drill program was designed based on the results of surface exposures of graphite identified during the previous July mapping program.

The drill program has a budget of $1 million.

Drilling is expected to begin before the end of August and is expected to last for 4 to 6 weeks.

The company owns a 100-percent interest in the Berkwood Graphite Project.

“It’s not every day you get to drill into high grade anything and here we are about to drill directly into 4 separate graphite outcrops along a defined 400m strike length with strong indications of more. Needless to say, we are excited to test these outcrops at depth under much fairer conditions than those we encountered last winter,” said President and CEO Tom Yingling.

Green Battery Minerals is up 8.33 percent, trading at $0.065 at 1:02 pm ET.
