The latest results from Great Atlantic Resources’ (GR) soil samples confirmed scattered gold on the Golden Trust property in Newfoundland.

Specifically, the samples were taken from the northern region of the property throughout 2022. Results for this area have just been released with anomalous gold values in the five to 72 parts per billion range. Back in 2020, the company identified gold soil anomalies in this area.

A total of 53 soil samples were collected during a 2022 program along two sample lines along the 2020 samples. Ten of the samples returned anomalous values of 5-72 parts per billion gold. Within these, five samples returned 10 to 72 parts per billion gold.

New gold target found

According to the company, its management team has now identified a target, roughly 700 by 300 metres large, within the area for future gold exploration. As a result, Great Atlantic is planning additional sampling and prospecting work for this target to be done during this year.

The Golden Trust property is said to be relatively under-explored, and Great Atlantic has not found any existing reports of diamond drilling within the property.
