Through its subsidiary, Gaia Grow Corp. (GAIA) has developed Spaced Food cannabis edibles that are now ready for commercial production.

Gaia’s subsidiary, TRUExtracts Laboratories, previously signed an agreement where Spaced Food, a Blackhawk Growth (BLR) subsidiary, provided the equipment and intellectual property. TRU will staff and develop Spaced Food products to earn 50 per cent of net sales.

Spaced Food products were created using the same technology used on food used in space for astronauts to perform as a shelf-stable product line which requires no refrigeration.

The company claims its product has excellent bioavailability with accurate dosing. The manufacturing process allegedly locks in 98 per cent of the nutritional value and medicinal ingredients.

According to Gaia, the product will go on sale once the packaging is received, which it expects to be between six to eight weeks. The initial commercial run will be four packs of THC-infused Strawberry sorbet.

TRU has also developed and submitted product notifications for an additional three new flavours of Spaced Food edibles and will offer a four-pack option with all flavours expected to roll out early next year.

Gaia Grow Corp. (GAIA) is up 30.77 per cent and is trading at $0.17 per share as of 11:11 a.m. ET.
