Flying Nickel Mining (FLYN) has completed a drilling program on its Minago Nickel Sulphide Project.

The project is located in Manitoba’s Thompson Nickel Belt.

This marks the Vancouver-based mineral exploration company’s first drilling program on the project.

The program totalled 2,834 metres of drilling, covering six infill and exploration holes. The initial drill results are expected in early July.

Two holes did intersect wide disseminated nickel mineralization at the Minago’s Nose deposit.

The initial 5,000-metre drill program was scaled back because of delays over permits.

Flying Nickel acquired the Minago Project from Victory Nickel in February 2021 and owns a 100-percent-interest.

The project has ready access to hydro power, water and is adjacent to a paved provincial highway.

The company is completing a Notice of Alteration, which is required by the Province of Manitoba’s Environmental Act. It does not require further federal permits.

Flying Nickel Mining is unchanged, trading at $0.23 at 11:55 am ET.
