First Hydrogen Corp. (FHYD) has appointed Carlo Alberto D’Amicis as Chief Financial Officer of First Hydrogen Limited.

This move hopes to support its growth in the coming years and direct the company to achieve future goals.

D’Amicis joins First Hydrogen from RHI Magnesita N.V., a company working in refractories with annual revenues of €2.5B.

He also led a 120-person global finance team in over 15 countries as a Senior Finance Executive, so the experience under his belt seems decent, to say the least.

D’Amicis has also held the position of CFO Americas for RHI Magnesita, which allowed him to grow valuable experience in restructuring business and developing shared service centers while helping to drive consistent gross margin expansion.

Before RHI Magnesita, D’Amicis was a Senior Finance Executive for Magnesita. While there, he helped push the business towards a successful merger with RHI and the subsequent IPO on the London Stock Exchange.

In his newly placed position at First Hydrogen, Carlo will support its C-suite to deliver its first hydrogen-powered light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and establish environmentally sustainable green hydrogen production sites.

The company’s long-term strategy is to develop a full hydrogen solution company with Green Hydrogen production, hydrogen vehicle production and hydrogen mobility fuel delivery services.

As so many other companies are working toward, First Hydrogen is trying to make the transition to zero emissions transport easy and affordable for customers.

Nick Wrigley, Chairman at First Hydrogen, says, “Carlo has great experience leading multinational companies and will support us to take the company further in its mission to secure a zero-emission future.”

Carlo Alberto D’Amicis, the  Chief Financial Officer for First Hydrogen Automotive, is “… proud and excited to join [the team].”

The fact of making the world/environment a cleaner place, D’Amicis couldn’t be more thrilled. “With carbon neutrality becoming one of the world’s most urgent missions, First Hydrogen will play a key role in decarbonizing the transport industry.”

First Hydrogen Corp. is a Vancouver and London UK-based company focused on zero-emission vehicles, green hydrogen production and distribution and supercritical carbon dioxide extractor systems.

First Hydrogen Corp. (FHYD) is up 1.89 per cent, trading at C$2.70 at 11:40 am ET.
