Evergold (EVER) share have fell sharply today, following the latest drill results from the company’s Snoball property.

Located in northern British Columbia, the Snoball property is home to the Pyramid Peak, where the company is attempting to drill a gold deposit located at the apex of a mountain.

The initial drilling at the site is now complete, with 2,799 metres of exploration performed over 13 drill holes.

The initial gold grades from work at the site’s apex drilling pad include 0.7 metres of strike at 20.8 grams per tonne gold and 54.54 grams per tonne silver from 134 metres down hole.

The company also intersected 3.19 gram per tonne gold and 28.39 gram per tonne silver result over 9.62 metres, which included 12.9 grams per tonne gold and 54.24 grams per tonne silver over 1.44 metres

Kevin Keough, the President and CEO of Evergold said that his team had done a really fine job in executing the first ever drilling a pyramid peak. He went on to comment on the company’s next steps.

“Our plan is to get better positioned with new pads downslope from the apex pad and to the west along snowball ridge, where our modelling suggests the potential for multiple structures.

“Weather allowing, we anticipated being able to complete construction of these new drill pads this season and possibly bring the drill back on.

“While we await the remaining snowball assays, drilling continues to the east at our Golden Lion property, and that story too is starting to look rather exciting,” he said.

Evergold (EVER) is down 16 per cent and is trading at C$0.60 per share at 10:50 am EDT.
