Endeavour Mining PLC (EDV) has increased its mineral resource estimate for its Ity Mine in Côte d’Ivoire following the completion of a recent exploration program.
The program resulted in lifting the mine’s measured and indicated resources to over five million ounces of gold. The measured and indicated resource increased by 17 per cent since the last estimate and is anticipated to accumulate 99 million tonnes of ore with an average grade of 1.62 grams of gold per tonne.
Endeavour is on track to achieve its target of discovering between 3.5 to 4.5 million ounces of indicated resources at Ity over the 2021-2025 period, roughly two million of which was discovered in the last two years
Drilling from the recent exploration work on the mine confirmed the continuity of a mineralized system which hosted seven deposits located near a processing plant. This resulted in a new single resource model for the area, and mineralization remains open at the West Flotouo, Daapleu, Bakatouo, Colline Sud, and Walter deposits.

Additionally, drilling established the presence of an extensive mineralized system covering the Plaque area, which is also nearby the processing plant.
Over at the Delta extension deposit, further mineralization was expanded, with a resource definition expected sometime next year. Also, a new discovery was made at the Delta southeast target, with a maiden resource coming next year.
