Empower’s (EPW) Medisure Laboratory signed a laboratory services agreement with Alp MedTech AG.

Alp MedTech AG is the authorized representative of Atlas Medical Gmbh, a European manufacturer and distributor of in-vitro diagnostic tests and medical devices with a presence in more than 80 countries.

Medisure Laboratory is a high-complexity lab providing diagnostic services and testing solutions.

Empower anticipates the agreement to generate new accretive revenue from clinical study services in the Dallas market. It will also complement Empower’s U.S. distribution with new medical devices and test products.

The agreement follows the companies’ previously announced partnership agreement and a separate laboratory services agreement with Specialist Network of North America.

“This is another accretive deal with a focus on the U.S. market,” stated Steven McAuley, Empower’s Chairman and CEO. “ALP clearly sees the value of Medisure Labs to help them perform the clinical studies in Dallas that are required for U.S. government FDA 510K approvals for the sale of Atlas equipment in the U.S. market.”

“With Dallas as a major healthcare hub in the U.S., Medisure Lab has the medical equipment, expertise and network of health professionals to help ALP and Atlas to enter the U.S. market efficiently and rapidly,” he added.

Empower is an integrated healthcare company providing body and mind wellness through clinics, digital and telemedicine care, medical devices and medical diagnostic laboratories.

Empower Clinics (EPW) is up by 16.67 per cent, trading at $0.035 per share as of 11:14 am EST.
